What stays on your iPhone

What Porchlight downloads

About once a day Porchlight downloads the latest list of reported numbers from porchlight-data.pages.dev, a static file host run on Cloudflare. The request contains no information about you, your calls or your lookups — it is the same file for everyone. Like any web server, Cloudflare may process your IP address to deliver the file, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not receive or keep these logs.

Links you choose to open

“Report to the FTC/FCC”, Support and this policy open in Safari. What you submit on those government websites is governed by their policies. Porchlight copies the number to your clipboard only when you tap Report.

Data sources

The list of reported numbers is built from the Federal Trade Commission's public Do Not Call complaint data (phone numbers that consumers reported; the FTC removes consumers' personal details before publishing). Area and original carrier come from public North American Numbering Plan records.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you delete it: clear Recent lookups, remove numbers in My Lists, or delete the app to remove everything. Because we hold no data, there is nothing for us to delete or export.

Children

Porchlight collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new effective date.
